Luntsford eyes challenges, opportunities for town

Spearhead Trails' proposed trailhead at Inman, which is inside the Appalachia town limits, could funnel several thousand visitors a year into the town, notes Appalachia Town Manager Fred Luntsford. 'A lot of people don't realize how developed this trail network is. ATV riders have told me you can go to Pound, over into Kentucky, really about anywhere you want. You can ride for days on what's already in place. The landowners are the central part of making this happen, and their buy-in to the Spearhead Trails concept is absolutely essential,' he noted.
