Upgrades continue at Valley VFD

When the Valley Fire Department added this 50-by-80 addition to its original 40-by-60 fire hall, members financed the $100,000-plus expansion with a loan, then paid the loan in full before the first annual payment was due. Pictured from left are three of the department's eight vehicles: Engine 1501, a 1996 Pierce with an International Chasis, 1,250 gallon-per-minute pump and a 1,000 gallon tank; Engine 1502, a 1980 American La France 1,000 GPM pump and 750 gallon tank; and Rescue 1508, a 2006 Ford F-450 Super Duty fully stocked Advanced Life Support ambulance with a Med-Tech Box and 4x4 w/ Air Ride.
