MEOC Walkathon $26,000 shy of goal

Mountain Empire Older Citizens accountant Michael Pease adds a red square to the tally board indicating pledges from Sunday's walkathon were nearly halfway toward the $155,000 goal. While the agency did not reach its goal, donations are still coming in, officials said.
