Adam Sanders, seated, puts R2 through his paces in a manual dexterity demonstration. When R2 is at work aboard the space station, Sanders said, NASA's mission control center at Houston will be able to monitor the robot's work and movements. 'Obviously, operating at zero gravity will be a lot different than operating on earth. The radiation amounts and types will be very different, so we've made R2 more robust and tolerant to those conditions.'
