Movie details expected at Saturday’s Gathering in Gap

Ricky Wiles, who portrayed Earl Purvis (the town snoop) in the Big Stone Gap movie, with Kathy McElyea, whom Adriana Trigiani nicknamed ‘Fletch’ for her reporting work during filming of Trigiani’s movie. Wiles, McElyea and Trigiani graduated together from Powell Valley High School. McElyea said Wiles made pineapple upside down cakes for the movie’s cast and crew and recently brought one to her home.
