Big Stone Gap becomes Whoville Dec. 8, 3 p.m., for fun events including a candy cane hunt, games and a Whoville costume showcase. The fun will continue at the visitor center with Jingle & Mingle and the Greenbelt in Lights Fun Run at 5 p.m., proceeds benefiting the Tyler Flanary Memorial Skate Park Fund. There will be Greenbelt rides, crafts, photos with Santa and more.
