The ‘Pencil Me In’ exhibit is on display at the C. Bascom Slemp Memorial Library in Big Stone Gap. The exhibit showcases a collection of mechanical pencils that belonged to Boyd Burdette, an East Stone Gap man who worked in sales for Proctor & Gamble before and after serving in World War II. His sales area was the entire Southwest Virginia region and he collected mechanical pencils from the businesses he visited. The exhibit will be on display until April 30 during regular library hours.
