Half marathon is a big hit this year

A lone runner passes through Appalachia March 16 during the second annual Union Half Marathon. Participation roughly doubled this year at more than 200 people, compared to 121 runners at the inaugural 2018 event. Participants ran through Big Stone Gap and Appalachia along the Greenbelt and Powell River Trail. Look for more coverage next week in The Post.
