Big Stone Gap has designated April 2019 as Child Abuse Prevention Month. Vice Mayor Nancy Bailey presented Janie Dockery of the Children’s Advocacy Center with a proclamation from the town on April 10. Blue pinwheels, the national symbol for Child Abuse Prevention, have been placed around town.
