Tuesday was a beautifully sunny day for a walk on the Powell River Trail. Notable sights near Appalachia include Bee Rock Tunnel, which Ripley’s ‘Believe It or Not’ once claimed as the world’s shortest railroad tunnel. It is only 47 feet, 7 inches long and was used from 1891 to 1987.
