Big Stone Gap’s Independence Day events begin Thursday at 8 a.m. with the Gap Partnership pancake breakfast, followed by the Freedom 5K at 8:30 a.m., a parade at 10:30 a.m., cornhole in Bullitt Park at 4 p.m. and fireworks at dusk.
