WILLIS "MOON" PRESTON MULLINS

Willis “Moon” Preston Mullins, 91, passed away peacefully on the morning of December 6th, 2025 in Newport Beach, California. 

Moon was born on January 13, 1934 to Isom and Bertha Mullins and was one of nine children raised in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. Moon served his country in the Navy, was a home builder, and managed the facilities for his church community. On July 14,1956 he married Patricia and together they raised 5 children in Huntington Beach, California. 

Moon will be greatly missed by so many family members and dear friends. He is survived by his wife Pat, his children and their spouses, John (Terry), Joshua (Lori), Dean (Denise), and Cristi (Don), 9 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. 

He was predeceased by his parents, 4 brothers, 4 sisters and his daughter, Heidi. 

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 10am at Glencoe Cemetery in Big Stone Gap, Virginia with Father Ritche Sarabia officiating.
