UVA Wise’s Sorah celebrates Grammy Music Educator Award nomination

Sorah’s impact extends to the community. He founded and conducts Winds of the Mountain Empire, a volunteer wind ensemble now in its 19th year. With 60–70 musicians, many with ties to Southwest Virginia, the group performs professional-level concerts, including world premieres of works by regional composers.
