One death, 13 new cases

Wise County reported 13 new COVID-19 cases between March 28 and Tuesday.

According to Virginia Department of Health statistics, the county’s total number of cases since spring 2020 was 14,046 as of Tuesday, compared to 14,033 one week earlier.
Wise County’s total number of COVID deaths increased by one, from 237 to 238.

The health department recently modified its reporting methods on COVID statistics, presenting information updates less frequently. County-by-county case counts and related statistics are now being updated weekly.
