One death, 39 new cases reported

Wise County reported 39 new COVID-19 cases between Feb. 21 and Tuesday.
According to Virginia Department of Health statistics, the county’s total number of cases since spring 2020 was 13,941 as of Tuesday, compared to 13,902 one week earlier.

Wise County’s total number of COVID deaths increased by one, from 236 to 237.

The health department recently modified its reporting methods on COVID statistics, presenting information updates less frequently. County-by-county case counts and related statistics are no longer being updated daily.
