Easter servcies set for Legion Memorial

Lenten Services

The Lenten Services wrap up this week. The service starts at noon and ends at 12:30 with a light luncheon held afterwards. Those that need to return to work can go through the line first. Thursday April 14 the service will be at Williams Chapel AME Zion Church with the message being shared by elder Carolyn Smith of the Macedonia Baptist Church or Appalachia with musical guest Mychelle Lawson.

Easter Sunday April 17 the service will be an hour earlier at Legion Memorial United Methodist Church at 8:00 a.m. 

 CANTATA

Sunday April 10 the  Legion Memorial United Methodist Church Choir presented the Cantata, “Amazing Grace” with good food and fellowship enjoyed afterwards.   It was wonderful that Roy and Dorothy Hamilton were able to be there.

CHURCH SERVICES

Rev Sean Bailey lead worship service at  Legion Memorial United Methodist Church Sunday. You may view it on the church’s Facebook site at https://www.facebook.com/LegionChurch/    No need to have a Facebook account to enjoy.  The message was titled, “Big Day for a Small Colt” based on Matthew 21:1=11.  He asked who can find us when we are lost- Jesus.  Who can pay the debt we cannot pay- Jesus.  Who can set us free when we are a captive or a slave to a situation- Jesus.
