When little trains made big trains

In February 1965, a set of Southern motive power led by F7 No. 6116 waits for a call on a coal train as two Interstate Railroad Alco RS-3 locomotives on “loan” idle in the background. The yard was closed later that year to make way for the Westmoreland Coal Transloader. The old yard office was burned by arsonists not long after the yard closed.
