Celebrating 60th wedding anniversary

Bobby and Phyllis (Sturgill) Hamilton are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married Oct. 29, 1961

The couple have three children, Derek Hamilton of Big Stone Gap, Va., Lance Hamilton of Ringgold, Ga., and Angie Spradlin of Woodstock, Ga. They have seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The family will be celebrating together in Pigeon Forge, Tn.

Brian Falin, the Appalachia coordinator for the town’s Great American Cleanup anti-litter campaign, poses Saturday with another volunteer. More than 150 volunteers took to the roads, streams and woods to clean up litter in Appalachia, Big Stone Gap, Coeburn, Norton, Pound, St. Paul and Wise.
