Donations sought for annual yard sale fundraiser
Big Stone Gap, VA — The Friends of the Southwest Virginia Museum will host their Annual Yard Sale Fundraiser event on Saturday, Sept. 4 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. The Yard Sale Fundraiser will offer a variety of items for purchase, and all proceeds will benefit the Friends of the Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park.
Donations are needed for the sale and we will accept items in good condition, with the exception of clothing and shoes. Members of the public may drop off items at the Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park office building (the brick building on Shawnee Ave. right across the street from the Museum) Monday-Friday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. from Aug. 16 through Sept. 1.
The park will comply with the state Covid 19 regulations in place at the time the program is offered. Those that are unvaccinated are to wear masks inside state owned facilities.
The Friends of the Southwest Virginia Museum is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit, and items are tax-deductible.
