STELLA VIRGINIA HUMBERT

Stella Virginia Humbert, age 90, of Moraine, Ohio passed to Heaven Monday, Oct. 19, 2020 of COVID-19 at Soin Medical Center in Beavercreek. Stella was born on July 14, 1930, the eldest of 11 children, to Forrest and Daisy (Wells) Lambert of Stonega, Virginia.

Her giggle was contagious and constant. Her eyes and smile lit up with expression as she listened with full focus to whomever was speaking. She loved her family and friends dearly. First and foremost, she loved the Lord. Even when she lived in physical pain, she praised Him. In her later years she began to long for Heaven, but never stopped living and giving to others in the present. She was intent on helping others as long as the Lord left her here.

She was preceded in death by her husband, (Jack D. Humbert), her infant daughter (Janet Rue Humbert), her parents (Forrest Sr. and Daisy Lambert), three brothers (Delbert, Sidney, and Ellis Lambert). These and other family members joyfully met her with open arms as she entered her eternal home.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Jack R. Humbert (Pat) of Franklin, Ohio, five sisters, Opal Clark (Ross) of Moraine, Ohio, Robena Clark of Perry, GA, Maurine Dennison of Norton, VA, Lorrine Wells (Alan) of Stonega, Rue Gembach (Bill) of Norton, two brothers Forrest Lambert, Jr. (Margaret) of Stonega, C.O. Lambert (Cathy) of Big Stone Gap. She is also survived by a long-time friend and companion, George Rowland; a special niece and great nephew Robin and Dusty Paul, who saw to her daily needs on a regular basis; and a host of other nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Stella was adored by her neighbors, church family, and the fellow residents and staff of Kingston of Miamisburg. She will be forever loved and missed.

A memorial service was led by Pastor Dusty Paul on Oct. 25. Stella was laid to rest at the Dayton National Cemetery with her husband Jack. Newcomer Funeral Home in Centerville, Ohio served the family during this difficult time.
