Town plans alternative holiday event
October 29, 2020
Appalachia has decided not to host a Christmas parade this year due to COVID-19 restrictions. Instead, the town, Appalachia Special Projects, Appalachia Lions Club and Appalachia Fire Department will host a neighborhood parade. Santa will go throughout the neighborhoods and coal camps so that people can see him while social distancing. The date is set for Saturday, Dec. 5. The town will release more information at a later date.
A healthy Wise County requires great community news.
