HAROLD G. KIRK

Harold G. Kirk, age 83, of Big Stone Gap, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 in Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. Harold was a native of Lee County and lived in Big Stone Gap since 1965. He was a retired Field Engineer with Bell Atlantic. Harold was a Veteran of the United States Army and was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the Pennington Gap Masonic Lodge # 165 having received his 50 year pin a few years ago. Harold was a former councilman and had served as mayor of Big Stone Gap. He was also a member of the Kiwanis Club for several years. Other than his parents he is also preceded in death by his son Greg Kirk in 1985. By two sisters, Inez Duncan and Gayle Bledsoe, by two brothers Elmer Kirk and J.C. Kirk.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Donna Mullins Kirk. Sisters, Nada DePew and Eulalah Flanary. Brothers, Clark Kirk and Clayel Kirk. Several nieces, nephews and other family members.

Due to the Covid 19 virus a private graveside will be held in the Lee Memorial Gardens in Wooday with family member Larry Hart officiating.

Pallbearers will be Clark Kirk, Clayel Kirk, Jeff Copeland, Craig Copeland, Bruce Copeland and Hunter Collins.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Heritage Church of God, 775 Wood Avenue East, Big Stone Gap, VA 24219.
