Union graduation plan details go out to families
Union High School Principal Mike Goforth has provided graduating seniors with details on the July 31 commencement exercises.
In a Monday email, Goforth explained that the class will be divided into four groups with separate ceremonies in Bullitt Park.
A brief practice session will take place July 30.
The ceremonies schedule will be:
• 11 a.m.: Hannah Austin-Bryceton Fritz.
• 1:30 p.m.: Austin Galloway-William Maine.
• 4 p.m.: Taylor McAfee-Ashleigh Smith.
• 6:30 p.m.: Jayda Smith-Madisyn Zeppa.
Seniors need to arrive 30 minutes early for their allotted graduation time. Each senior can bring up to four family members and will be issued four tickets during the practice session.
“We want to keep the numbers low in the stadium to protect our guests,” Goforth wrote.
Spectators will need to physically distance themselves as they take a seat. No parents or spectators will be allowed on the field.
The graduation ceremony will be recorded for those who cannot attend in person and each senior will receive a copy.
