LUTRICIA ‘LUCY’ ANNE KILGORE

Lutricia “Lucy” Anne Kilgore, 80, of Big Stone Gap, passed away peacefully at Norton Community Hospital on Monday, May 11, 2020.

Lucy was a retired L.P.N., with over 35 years of dedicated service to our community, through St. Mary’s Hospital in Norton, VA. She enjoyed walking outdoors, and the peace and serenity of God’s Creation. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Kilgore, her parents: Robert Grubb and Violet “Ray” Grubb, her son, Paul Kilgore, two sisters; Jean Harris, and Barbara Beard.

She is survived by her two daughters: Becky Sturgill (Glenn Collins), Karen Millhorn (Dennis), one sister, Loretta Fields (Robert), one brother, Thomas Grubb, grandchildren; David Kilgore (Malora), Amanda Sturgill, P.J. Sturgill (Cheyanne Taylor), Nicholas Collins, Raven Kilgore, Misty Kilgore, Casandra Kilgore, Sedinia Kilgore, ten great -grandchildren, and a host of other close relatives and friends.

The family will have a graveside service at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 16 at the Kilgore family cemetery in Nickelsville VA. Pastor Ronnie Mutter will officiate the graveside.
