The Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park starts the 2020 Artisan Series of programs with the March theme “Fused Glass Quilt Square Workshop,” hosted by Carol and Ray Moore of Appalachian Warm Glass, LLC. The workshop will be held on Tuesday, March 17, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the museum’s Victorian Parlor.

Participants who register for the “Fused Glass Quilt Square Workshop” will join Ray and Carol for a fun-filled evening learning how to create their own unique original five-inch fused glass quilt square. Participants do not need to have any experience in cutting glass for this workshop. Workshop is for adults only.

The fee for the “Fused Glass Quilt Square Workshop” will be $40 per person; all supplies and materials are included. A handmade wooden base will be created by Appalachian Warm Glass for your fused glass quilt square.

Spaces are limited for the workshop, so register early by calling 276/523-1322.

The Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park’s Artisan Series will offer a craft project on the third Tuesday of every month from March through December, providing visitors with opportunities to create handmade crafts with regional artisans.
