MICHAEL WAYNE DAY

Michael Wayne Day, 57, of Big Stone Gap, died Friday, February 14, 2020 from injuries received in a motor vehicle accident in Lee County, VA.
Mike was an employee of Food City in Big Stone Gap. He was a son of the late James Ralph Day and Helen Mullins Day of Dunbar.
Surviving are his wife, Kimberly Day, his son, James Michael Day, his daughter Keisha Leilich and her husband Curtis; his granddaughter, Maylee Lynn Leilich and grandson, Waylon Michael Leilich; his brother and sisters: Ronald Day, Jenny Lambert (Larry), and Debi Heske; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20 at the Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home in Norton. Funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Reverend Tony Nunley officiating.
Friends and family will gather by 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home where they will then travel in procession to the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens for interment, with the Reverend Kenneth Sturgill officiating. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home, 956 Park Avenue NW, Norton, VA 24273.
