Small business event coming to Gap Feb. 20
The New Economy Network of Southwest Virginia will host a community forum Thursday, Feb. 20 to discuss small business entrepreneurship in the coalfields.
The event will take place 6-8 p.m. at the Big Stone Gap Visitors Center, 306 Wood Ave. E.
Speakers will include Shankar Naskar, UVA Wise professor of entrepreneurship; Maddie Gordon, Clinch Life Outfitters; and Suzanne Lawson, MountainRose Vineyard. The panel will address issues such as how to become a successful business owner in Southwest Virginia and what local governments and community leaders can do to foster the continued growth of local entrepreneurs.
Light snacks and beverages will be provided.
