Michael F. Jones

Michael “Mike” F. Jones, 61, of Big Stone Gap, passed away Thursday, December 19, 2019, at his residence in the Strawberry Patch community.

Mike was currently a self-employed farmer and had worked at several auto dealerships as a mechanic.

He was the son of the late Howard and Maudella Jones.

Mike is survived by two brothers, Dewy Eugene Jones of Gate City and Gary Lee Jones of Knoxville and a sister, Thelma Jean Jones of Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

The family received friends Monday, Dec. 23 from 11am to 1 pm in the chapel of Gilliam Funeral Home, 618 Wood Avenue West, Big Stone Gap. The funeral service followed at 1 pm.

Graveside services were held at Powell Valley Cemetery in Dryden A following the funeral service.
