VETERANS DAY

Monday November 11 is a U.S legal holiday to honor the end of World War I which officially took place November 11, 1918.

November 11 was dedicated to the cause of World Peace and to be here after celebrated and known as Armistice Day. This new legal holiday honored World War I veterans. In 1938 the word Armistice was struck out and inserted the word Veterans. June 1st 1954 November 11 became a day to honor American Veterans of “All Wars”.

Always remember Freedom is Not Free it cost hundreds of thousands lives in these wars. Let our Veterans know we Appreciate their service.

They have been under the weather with old “creeping crud.” Old friends Carol and Gary Bowman and “Wet Willie” from Andover sends a big shout out to tell them “hello”. They have been Post subscribers for many years to keep up with their neighbors.

VITIS FROM TENNESSEE

Our brother Danny Bush from Oak Ridge, TN came up to visit with us for a few days last week. “Halloween”. From a beautiful warm 70 temperature to a big dip to 30 by early evening left us with not to many choices of things to do so we decided to watch Christmas shows on TV! The cold weather was not to big of a problem since we stayed in and turned the temperature up. Senior citizens can always find some kind of indoor entertainment.
