MARGIE CLARK STUMP

Margie Clark Stump, 73, of Rocky Mount, Va./Exeter, Va., passed away Friday, Nov. 1, 2019, at Carilion-Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

She was born and raised in Exeter, Va., a 1964 graduate of Appalachia High School, Service Manager for Sears in Big Stone Gap for many years, and had resided in Rocky Mount for over 25 years.

Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Hansford Noah Stump; and her parents, Cecil and Grace (Qualls) Clark.

Surviving are her sister, Carol Amos and husband Wallace of Bristol, Va.; brother, Norman Clark and wife, Shelia of Jonesville and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, at Gilliam Funeral Home, 618 Wood Ave., W. in Big Stone Gap. The service will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Michael Stump officiating.

Entombment services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the Powell Valley Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family and friends will assemble at the cemetery by 10:50 a.m. Friday.
