Appalachia moves Halloween date

The town of Appalachia has postponed its Halloween celebration. According to its Facebook page, the town council has voted to move the celebration to Saturday, Nov. 2, 5:30-8:30 p.m., due to possible severe weather on Halloween day that may include lightning and thunderstorms.
