WARREN JASON BEGLEY

Warren Jason Begley, 61, of Big Stone Gap, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Lonesome Pine Hospital.

He was a lifelong resident of the Crackers Neck community. He was a coal miner, truck driver, carpenter and electrician. He was a ‘jack of all trades.’ Jason loved to fish and working with his hands in woodworking. He attended the former Durham’s Chapel Church in Crackers Neck.
Jason was preceded in death by his parents, George and Caroline (Chandler) Begley; and by siblings, Walter Begley, Hillman “Hick” Begley, Dave Begley, Mike Begley, Wiley P. “Boose” Begley, Earl Wayne Begley, Bill Begley and Janet “Jan” Cole.

Surviving are his wife of 15 years, Trina (Lane) Begley; siblings, Bobbie Rash and Judy Young (Martin), both of Gray, Tn., Ewing Begley (Fran), Waynesboro, Va., Tim Begley (Linda) and Claire “Clete” Lemberg, both of Big Stone Gap; numerous nieces and nephews; two people that Jason helped raise, Travis Maddux and Crystal Mosier; and two stepchildren, Logan Brown and Nicholas Archer.

A memorial service will be conducted at 6:30 pm on Thursday, April 6, 2023, at the Cedar Ridge Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor James Holcomb officiating.
