LEDFORD TYE MULLINS

Ledford Tye Mullins, of Means, Kentucky passed away Saturday, August 13, 2022 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, KY.

He was a 74 year old born in Big Stone Gap, Virginia to Sylvia Sizemore Mullins and the late Doyle Mullins Sr. He was a proud U.S. Marine veteran, former truck driver and a coal miner who had to retire early from wounds received in Vietnam. He was a member of the Baptist faith. Being a U.S. Marine one of his pet peeves was his brother was a U.S. Navy Veteran.

He is survived by his loving mother Sylvia R. Sizemore Mullins and his loving partner Helen Walters, four  children. Lance Yeary of Big Stone Gap, Jamie Mullins of Morristown, TN,  Bryan Mullins of Dayton, Ohio. and Kayla Brown of Maryville, TN, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  One brother Doyle Mullins of Florida and a sister Daretha Mullins Morris (Rick) of Big Stone Gap.

He is predeceased by one daughter, Amy Mullins, his brother Ronald Mullins, and sister Ocie Jean Mullins Stidham.

Visitation was held Tuesday, August 16 at Herald & Stewart Home for Funerals in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. Internment was at Glencoe Cemetery Mausoleum in Big Stone Gap.
