Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park to Feature

Big Stone Gap, VA. The Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park will host its next event in the weekly “Lunch on the Lawn” series Friday, July 23, at noon, featuring Red & Grey.

Red & Grey musical duet was formed when Jenna Riley and her grandfather, Buddy Delp started playing music together at local venues. Jenna’s love of music began at an early age. At the age of fourteen, she recorded her first CD, entitled “Drifting” with her grandfather at Castle Recording Studio in Castlewood, Virginia. The name “Red & Grey” comes from Jenna’s vibrant, red hair, and Buddy’s grey hair. They truly enjoy sharing their songs with their audiences.

The “Lunch on the Lawn” event is free and open to the public. Visitors may bring their own lunch, or purchase a delicious lunch of hamburgers on the grill, chips, redskin potato salad, pound cake and choice of beverage from the park. Orders must be made in advance by 4 p.m.  Wednesday, July 21 by calling the park at 276/523-1322. Participants may also purchase donuts & coffee from Dough & Joe food truck.

The award-winning Virginia State Parks are managed by the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation.
