Local officials recognized Domestic Violence Awareness Month with an event last week on the county courthouse lawn in Wise. The event included Commonwealth Attorney Chuck Slemp, Sheriff Grant Kilgore, victim-witness coordinator Sandi Brewer and representatives of Family Crisis Support Services.
